History

Through its service, the World Congregational Fellowship Church has proven its spiritual integrity.  It does not depend on personalities, but demonstrates the truth.  Many people want to take steps to insure the continuance of this ministry, not only through their financial support while here, but through bequests which will insure that their financial help will continue to assist this ministry.

The World Congregational Fellowship Church was first organized by the Dr. Loel L. Resler, Ph.D., Th.D., during April of 1985, in Phoenix, Arizona.  In conjunction with the church, the International Institute of Theology was established.  Later on the Institute’s name was changed to Westbrook University.

On April 15, 1992 the headquarters of the Ministry and the University moved to Aztec, New Mexico. Steadily the Church and University have grown in size and influence in the spiritual communities. WCFC filed its Articles of Incorporation with the Secretary of State in New Mexico, as a spiritual, educational, not-for-profit organization.

On October 15, 1999, Dr. and Mrs. Resler and the administrative office of the Ministry moved to Peoria, Arizona with the University and the incorporation remaining within the State of New Mexico.  The Church offices moved to the Hickory, North Carolina area in December of 2001.

Westbrook University was sold in 2002 and the new owners moved it to Wierton, West Virginia in the Fall of 2003 and can be found on the web at: westbrooku.edu.

On November 16th, 2003, Revs. Bill Owens and Sue Sammarco held the first World Fellowship Church meeting.  Rev. Joel Boyd worked diligently on the various paperwork needed to become incorporated in the state of Arizona, which become official on February 13th, 2004.

We invite sincere and intelligent persons who desire to improve not only themselves, but to serve humanity and God in the highest idealism.
